Search Wikipedia via Text Messaging! »

I came very late to the whole “Texting” World. My new Sprint Blackberry was the first phone that I have had that supported it. I setup SMS for Twitter posting and it worked but this latest is my favorite. I can now search Wikipedia entries via text messaging. Check it out! It is from GoLive!

I found this on Steve Rubel’s site.

“FSJ: Damn, I am so busted, yo” »

We now know the identity of Fake Steve Jobs. I’ve been following his blog for awhile and have enjoyed every minute. The posts were some of the funniest things I have read and it had become a nice reading ritual that got me through the day. I didn’t want to know who was really writing them. I hope that he keeps going (and yes I know he says he will after taking a little break).

Check his blog our here!

Did Nick Star Commit Suicide? »

There is a rumor that Nick Star killed himself by jumping off the Tampa, FL Sunshine Bridge. He used Twitter to record his “last thoughts”. Is this for real? Was it a stupid drunk prank? Was it a publicity stunt? I guess we will find out eventually.

Nick had been someone I had heard about from both the Dawn and Drew and Keith and the Girl Podcasts. He was also on Nobody Likes Onions where he insulted Chemda, the “girl” from Keith and the Girl. The resulting backlash eventually forced Nick to call into a live Keith and the Girl show to apologize on air. Both Keith and Chemda accepted the apology and I hadn’t heard anything about him until this.

Here is his twitter page if you are curious what his so called “last words” were:

His Friends, Dawn and Drew have a thread going at their site:

WebbAlert!! Morgan Webb has a new VLOG! »

I checked out the first episode and I like it. I always liked her on G4’s X-Play and found her really cute and funny. This VLOG is done from her home studio and she produces and writes her own material.

Wii Bowling »

Wii Bowling

Resident Evil 4

Bowling has become my favorite. Georgia, Pen, Stacy and I played while drinking beers and had a really good time. It really is a good social game console.

Fate (PC) »

“Since oldest living memory, the Dungeon Gate has stood in the heart of the Old Wood…”

If you have played Diablo (or any similar hack-and-slash RPG) then you have played Fate. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Fate is a fun little game that I rather enjoyed. The additional game feature of having a pet that joins you on the dungeon raids is a neat idea. You can gather items that can temporarily boost your pet’s abilities in the bigger fights. You have to be careful that you pay attention what you feed your loyal companion. Some of the items will permanently change the pet’s appearance. My cute little puppy is now an ugly spider. Spiders just aren’t as lovable.

Wii (or WEEEEEEEEE!!!!) »

The Wii is the 5th home video game console released by Nintendo. I purchased my very own Wii yesterday making this my 2nd console from Nintendo.

The setup - It took me less than 10 minutes to get everything unboxed, cabled up and obtained wireless connectivity.

The Interface - I like the menu system. The idea of channels is used well here. I can’t wait to see where they go with this.

The Hardware - The Wii measures 1.73 in wide, 6.18 in tall, and 8.48 in deep. This is basically stacking 3 DVD cases together. I love how small the system is. I shouldn’t have worried about finding a spot for it. The Wii Remote surprised me. I didn’t think I would like it this much. I LOVE it in fact. The weight and rumble feedback feels just right. The Numchuk attachment is also pretty cool.

Wii Sports – I am in love with Wii Sports. This is significant since I traditionally hate sports games. My two favorites are Wii Tennis and Wii Boxing. I now understand how certain individuals have thrown their Wii Remote into their TV.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – I bought this game with the console. I haven’t played it yet since I really wanted to try out Wii Sports. I plan on playing it tonight. I’ll post a review on it sometime this weekend.

A bottle of wine and Big Brother 8. A good combo! »

Big Brother is probably my favorite reality show. I have watched it since season 1 and I can’t get enough. I love that Stacy loves it too.

My hope is Amber is voted out tonight. We shall see.

Oops! It is time to refill my wine glass…

Veronica Belmont to leave Buzz Out Loud »

Early this year I pretty much stopped listening to the radio. I love my IPOD and spend that time listening to podcasts. Buzz Out Loud (CNET’s Podcast on Tech News) is in my top five. They produce 30ish minute shows 5 days a week. Tom, Molly and Veronica are like old friends now. I love listening to them talk, laugh and rant about the things that I care about.

Well today I was sad to learn that Veronica Belmont is leaving the show. She is going to work for Mahalo producing a daily video show. I’ll have to check it out.

BOL will not be the same without you.

Never Deal with Automated Phone Support Again… »

It takes a lot for me to ever call a support line. I hate dealing with automated systems that never offer up what I really am trying to do. Just the other day I called Comcast and yes the experience sucked as I thought it would. You waste so much time. The system may save the company time but not the poor customers. I wish I had this list before. This is pretty cool.
